Alignment

Agencies are just groups of people choosing to work together to achieve bigger things.

That can be amazing if everyone has a shared understanding of what they are doing, how they will do it, and how they will collaborate — or it can feel chaotic and frustrating if everyone has different aims and understanding.

Therefore, a key role of the leader is to enable and ensure alignment.

That’s not a one-time task, it’s perpetual.

If you’re to avoid having to do this alignment work yourself every day, you need to design your agency to be able to establish and nurture that alignment.
